Urea’s Effect on Dry Matter, Organic Matter, and Crude Protein Content of Ammoniated Corn Straw

چکیده
Feed is an absolute necessity that must be guaranteed in the maintenance of ruminants but its availability always a problem during dry season so fresh forage difficult to obtain and only agricultural waste form straw available. One widely used by farmers, especially Lombok region, corn straw. This research aims evaluate nutritional content has been ammoniated using urea. study urea for ammoniation process with complete randomized design (CRD) consisting 4 treatments replications, namely T1= without (control), T2= dose 2% urea, T3= 4% T4= 6% The variables measured were matter (DM), organic (OM) crude protein (CP). results showed significant effect (P<0.05) on increasing DM, OM CP ranging from 21.02% - 23.98% DM content, 88.13% 91.07% 13.53% 23.81% content. It was concluded best treatment T4 DM; 89.94% CP, respectively.

Effect of Supplementation of Alfalfa Silage with Lactobacillus Buchneri Additive, Orange Pulp and Molasses on Dry Matter, Crude Protein and Organic Matter Degradability by Nylon Bags
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of supplementation of alfalfa silage with Lactobacillus buchneri additive, orange pulp and molasses on dry matter, crude protein and organic matter degradability by nylon bags. The treatments included: alfalfa silage (control treatment), alfalfa silage processed with bacterial additive, 3×108 cfu/g, alfalfa and orange pulp silage, alfalfa...
متن کاملEffect of Dry Matter Content and Inoculation on Ruminal Protein Degradability in Alfalfa Silages
The aim of the experiment was to determine the effect of different dry matter content and addition of silage inoculant on the ruminal protein degradability. Alfalfa herbage was collected from two cuts and the fresh matter was sampled two times during each cut (with different dry matter content). During the preparation of experimental micro-silages, the chopped forage was treated with a microbia...
متن کاملDry Matter and Crude Protein Degradability ofMopane Worm (Imbrasia belina) in Rumen of Steers
Three cannulated Tswana steers were used to investigate the rumen degradability of mopane worm (Imbrasia belina) by measuring the amount of dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) disappearing at incubation periods up to 72 h. The effective degradability (ED) of DM and CP in the rumen was calculated at outflow rates of 0.03 / h (ED0.03) and 0.05 / h(ED0.05). Rumen degradable CP (RDP) was estimat...
